I love Silpat

In an effort to make myself do more things that I know I will enjoy once I get my lazy ass in gear, I made chocolate chip scones thanks to some inspiration by one of my new favorite places on the web. It also gave me a chance to use a sil-pat pan liner I got for Christmas (Thanks Ma).
Check out the recipe and the super fun website I used here.

It was a very easy recipe to follow. My only note would be to use about a quarter cup more flour then it calls for because the recipe leaves the dough a tad too wet for my liking. You be the judge. I also see many other ways to use this recipe by simply changing the choc. chips to dried cherries, or lemon juice and poppy seeds. One might be even crazy enough to throw in rosemary , Havarti, and ham to make a "savory scone".

I took a picture for your pleasure:Make these scones. If you're like me then a scone, a crossword puzzle and a cup of coffee is heaven. Just don't burn yourself using an old t-shirt in place of pot holders...not that it happened to me.
