New Adventure

We woke up yesterday and walked to a little Presbyterian Church near campus where we were welcomed with open arms and many questions. These people are in the business of showing God's love and that warmed this tired heart. I expected them to tell us about God's love and condemn our sinful ways. This is not what this church is about, at least I don't think so. The sermon was brought to us by Beth, can't remember her last name. She spoke on how being rich is not a sin. She used the Lazarus and rich man parable eloquently. I thoroughly enjoyed it for three main reasons- (1) She knew her own faults with using what God had given her (2) She knew what she was talking about but still managed to learn from what she was saying as she was saying it-amazing and (3) she told the truth in love which I think is hard to do. Wilmore Presbyterian Church has something going on that I would love to find in Spartanburg. This woman, while flawed and sinful like the rest of us has something I long for- capabilities that can govern her liabilities.

After church we walked around Wilmore a little and wound up at a coffee shop named Solomon's Porch. Delicious but the staff wasn't half as friendly as our Presbyterian friends.

Today's big story is that Macie and I moved from grandma's house (The Beeson) and set up our tent by a reservoir. We hope it is still there and that we can find it.
In between moves so much happened. I'll post about that later. The suspense should make you queasy and have clammy skins- its going to be that good. HA!
